Great insights in this video, thanks!
I have a 2020 Outlander and a twin air mattress fits perfectly behind the front seats, with the back 2 rows folded. I may not ever plan to use it that way, but I love that I can.
I hated one-pedal driving… until I got into a not-Tesla (a Mach-E I think?) where you could adjust how aggressive it was. In cars that are either on or off one-pedal, omg. Go. Stop. Go. Stop. My neck….
There was an episode of the original Bill Nye the Science Guy where he explained how, even tho electric vehicles may use energy not from renewable sources and generate pollution from those sources, when they do, it’s easier to monitor and filter (one power station) vs gasoline engines (thousands of cars all over the place). Researching when and where your power company gets their energy tho is FANTASTIC for those of us wanting to be green as possible.
Weird to think Toyota is replacing short blocks. BTW I think the Ramcharger will do very well. EV over 300 days a year for most or maybe even 350 days! The solid state battery question was good. I think the change will not be dramatic at all. It will phase in over many years. Other changes may very well be greater over the next decade.
I agree with the charging EV comments. IMO more 50kw fast chargers. Bars, Gyms, Restaurants and Shopping areas. Like Alex mentioned employer charging is important also. To much emphasis on really fast charging which is very expensive IMO. A 45 minute meal could do half of most batteries.
