BYD CEO: This NEW Engine Will DESTROY The Entire EV Industry for Good!

BYD, China's top-selling vehicle brand and the worldwide leader in electrical lorry production, is changing the car market with its fifth-generation DM technology. Revealed in 2024, this hybrid system features the world's most efficient combustion engine, accomplishing a thermal performance of 46.06%, exceeding Toyota's 41% record. Paired with a 1.5-liter fuel engine (99 horsepower) and electrical motors (161 or 215 horsepower), it delivers a remarkable 1,304-mile range on a single tank and charge– equivalent to driving from Los Angeles to Seattle and back without refueling. With fuel performance exceeding 80 miles per gallon, even when the battery is low, it's a game-changer for family-sized cars. The Blade Battery, with its slim, safe, and resilient lithium iron phosphate cells, enhances energy density by 50% and holds up against extreme tests without failure. The Xuanji Architecture integrates all systems for split-second choices, while the DiPilot system offers innovative self-governing driving, from budget designs to luxury, with features like hands-free highway navigation and automated parking. BYD's budget-friendly prices, 15% listed below Tesla's Model 3, and 4.3 million lorries produced in 2024 position it as a worldwide powerhouse, challenging standard automakers and speeding up the shift from gas engines. This isn't simply an upgrade– it's the future of driving.

    Good for BYD NO NEED FOR BIG HEAVY LITHIUM ION BATTERIES,WHY NOT DEVELOP A MOTOR USING MAGNETS,IT CAN BE DONE

      BYD have developed a non lithium battery already.. move on

    I think it would have been nice if there was able to generate a generator to generate the battery or even create fusion or putting solar panels on top of the roof generating enough energy to charge up the batteries there’s so many possibilities

    Wow ANOTHER engine that’s going to replace everything and get a million miles to the gallon. Where do I find it on Amazon to order it. CA dem. gas. $6

    finally. making energy efficiently, storing it short term, and use it. finally. there is so much more energy in gasoline for harvest, with the proper engine driving an efficient generator, you can pull a LOT more energy from gasoline. Batteries are just an energy balloon, use them wisely, and you are golden,.

    Ye…. this will fail.

    Its like someone tried to go for a steam-petrol car combo after steam went out…

    Gasoline will forever be more expensive than electricity in most civilized countries

    At 4:12, the narrater says “With fuel consumption as low as 8.3 miles per gallon …” . That sounds like pretty-high fuel consumption. Is a correction in order here?

      based on earlier in the video it sounds like it should be either 80.3 or 83

      He said 83

      So I was not the only one that noticed that, maybe 83 miles per gallon, but that is also nothing to write home about…

      It’s on the screen. It’s says 80mpg (eighty)

    Why is anyone considering hybrids? This is the stupidest “breakthrough” technology story I’ve heard

    1. @stomil Avatar
      @stomil

      Not necessarily. Toyota also is pushing hybrids. And the sale of hybrids is growing globally.

      It’s not nesscary brand new break through, but hybrids are like jack of all trades there. It’s vastly more miles per gallon, and possibly lower emission than fossil fuel powered electricity in most western country right now…

      I also avoided hybrids in my previous purchase.
      2 engines, 2 systems……
      Doble the chances for anything to fail .
      Doble the maintenance and repairs .
      It’s not worth it, in my opinion.

      @@AhooooooooMost have been designed incorrectly IMO. Only now are they finally doing it right. There should be no mechanical drive train. That is just more stuff to break and weight. The gas portion should just be an engine coupled to a generator. Simple.

    It would be interesting if BYD left fossil fuel altogether. Toyota has a new battery that will be a tuff competitor in just two years.

    batteries with today’s standard will not make it cos they are not efficient. Better to choose hydrogen instead especially for trucks, planes or vessels.

    1. @MP-vc4nu Avatar
      @MP-vc4nu

      Trucks don’t really need hydrogen, the infrastructure for hydrogen is real expensive and not that commercially ready yet. But ships/planes yeah.
