    The WLTP range is not “the claimed range”. It’s a laboratory test that the manufacturers are forced to do. It’s not what the cars “are supposed to do” like he says in every video

    1. @csjrogerson2377 Avatar
      @csjrogerson2377

      Well, they have to claim something and they have to have a standard by which to test, otherwise it’s a meaningless guess. They just happened to have picked on the WLTP as the one to chose. There is no such thing as “are supposed to do”. Its a measure against a given standard.

    2. @davidthomas1532 Avatar
      @davidthomas1532

      And also, ICE cars never get anywhere near their stated fuel consumption. So why does he always make out it’s a ‘problem’ with EVs. It’s repetitive and dull reviewing. Yawn!

    3. @mattsoutherden Avatar
      @mattsoutherden

      I get 300 miles from my EV9 no problem. Of course it’s not going to get 300 miles if you’re drag racing it though.

    4. @AdithyaReddy15 Avatar
      @AdithyaReddy15

      they don’t make any other claims, so I guess that is the claim. They are certainly free to claim a lower figure!

    5. @alanngli Avatar
      @alanngli

      @AdithyaReddy15Nope, it’s a standard they have to abide by to sell in the markets they sell in. It’s like they can’t come up with a random unit of cowpower when everyone’s using horsepower.

    You really should add efficiency to the things you compare, not just range.

    1. @manilove2pwn Avatar
      @manilove2pwn

      plus range is pointless if it cold or raining you wont get the miles they say. Always buy petrol or diesel

    2. @iandavis8725 Avatar
      @iandavis8725

      @manilove2pwnpetrol and diesel is also affected by cold weather too for range.

      Fill cars with 4 people + luggage, then start with battery 100% full, to a charging station 200 miles of driving. Tell how much it costs to load battery 100%, and the duration of charge. That îs important for families in case of electric cars.

      @Mysterious-t2uso does the majority of ICE equivalents though. A new Q7 costs £70k plus, after three years they’re available at £35k and even under. That’s equally significant depreciation if not more, meanwhile having far higher running and maintenance costs.

      @barneyrubble9309 Honestly even for these ur better off leasing them over owning them outright. The depreciation on them after 3-4 years is terrifying, i’ve seen Polestar 3s which have done only 2k miles and have lost half their value (£90k-£42k in 1 year) 😭😭😭😭
