You know what’s crazy? I had a very similar technology in every car I owned prior to 2017. Great video!

Or you skip the key completely and use your phone. Like a Tesla. Open door, sit down and drive away. No key, no start button and no need to select a gear. Everything is automatic!

My 2012 golf mk.6 has this brilliant feature. And a physical volume button as well ๐

I just leave my key in my pocket. I haven’t lost a key yet.

They should use them to lock and unlock the doors too. Would prevent a lot of thefts

They used to have a wobbly thing between the front seats as well.

This is what I want. No tech. No lane-keeping. Pure EV with decent range (to and from work). 30k Canadian. Just a usb-c port and a built in holder for my iPad. Thank you. Get on it VW.

But let me guess, they now charge a lot more than the last time we used to use keys ๐ค
