    Porsche’s consistency on the dyno proves how well-engineered these motors are.

      Those envious people again. Let people dream; maybe he already has one, or will buy a Porsche someday.

      The old one got a 10.1 on its debut, I would love to see if this new one can get into the 9’s…

    3. @Insignia-q4h Avatar
      @Insignia-q4h

      @cratos900nah this wont get low 9s. High 9s sure but it takes 1000hp for low 9s

      @nobodylikesjayyy

      @cratos900def not low lmao, I say 9.8 max

    5. @Insignia-q4h Avatar
      @Insignia-q4h

      @nobodylikesjayyyidk the fastest a 992.1 turbo s has gone recorded is 9.9s so maybe 9.7s

    The tuning potential🤤🤤🤤

    1. @pjay3028 Avatar
      @pjay3028

      Is absolutely non existent because the turbos don’t have wastegate control they’re limited by the hybrid tech which prevents any over boost. Watch the Engineering Explained video about the hybrid GTS which explains it all.

    2. @Insignia-q4h Avatar
      @Insignia-q4h

      @pjay3028Facts. So turbo swap wouldnt really be possible

    3. @Raphael_Campos Avatar
      @Raphael_Campos

      Funnily enough the GTS has a bigger overhead, larger turbos, no hybrid tech.

    4. @pav1u Avatar
      @pav1u

      @pjay3028you can tune any engine better than stock, ecu must comply to all units from factory, they do not tune each unit individually so yes you can

    5. @Insignia-q4h Avatar
      @Insignia-q4h

      @Raphael_CamposCarrera GTS? Which one? Because the new one has the hybrid tech with 1 turbo

    Mat Watson just showed up all the other automotive journalists and YouTubers big time with this dyno test. He is the envy of the car world when it comes to the new Turbo S, he got the lead story before anyone else! Congrats Mat, but I wonder did Porsche know you were going to do this with the press loaner?

    A 1.725-ton car (dry weight!!!) with 725HP that does 0-100 kph in 2.5 seconds; am I the only thinking that, at Porsche, they write their own laws of physics?

    1. @Insignia-q4h Avatar
      @Insignia-q4h

      Porsche use conservative numbers. A person tested his 992.1 Turbo S and it was 100lbs lighter than advertised WITHOUT lightweight pack

    The 711 hp figure is the official number to cover variability between engines.

    Nobody wants to be sued because the engine couldn’t hit the specified numbers out of the box.

    1. @RDEnduro Avatar
      @RDEnduro

      Has anyone successfully sued for that? I just don’t think that’s the reason, especially considering that dyno runs have so so so so many variables, even the dyno itself, make and model is a variable.

  19. @drhassan6892 Avatar
    @drhassan6892

    This is to the wheels what kind of dyno? Is it predicting crank?

  20. @MosquitoMetalSonic Avatar
    @MosquitoMetalSonic

    tbf every engine has ever so slight power differences (though that issue was much more prevalent in the past due to less accurate manufacturing) so they probably intentionally claim a smaller number so no one can say that their Porsche got less than advertised
