Not on uk roads, alloys and carbon skirts will get battered and someone will probably knock your wing mirror off. Knowing bmw that’ll probably cost £10,000 to rectify

How does the tax and insurance system in the UK work?
Where I live (Germany) you pay more taxes and more for insurance the more powerful your car is.
Meaning, a car like that will even cost you if you don’t even drive it. -
@TrangleCyep it’s similar in the UK. Tax is ultimately based on certain emissions, which a more powerful engine contributes to.
So for a 3L M3 touring it’s £2200 a year on road tax alone. Insurance will be high. Probably looking at £5k annually just to own the car. Then fuel costs on top 😬

That’s the first year rate which is included in the OTR price. The actual road tax cost is 570 quid.

The grill on the saloon was growing on me (hopefully it doesn’t grow on the next generation of bmw’s),but I have to say that it looks so much better on the estate version, I’d even go as far to say I would buy this car if I had the money, its really pretty, even with the pig nose.

I would say the Alpina B3 is more suited for a daily, I mean the look, the performance are almost similar (more torque, less power, softer suspension)

some old dude who used to own a restaurant in my area has one. always give way to him because I’m a massive fanboy and he actually indicates. Saw him outside the barbers one time and he gave me his BMW M keyring and some lessons on money. Such a nice man.
