I do exactly the same on my rav4 wish it was closer to the ignition button
-
Code it out. đ
-
EPA to thank for these
-
Thatâs the âbreak your starter, flywheel, and accessories within 75,000 milesâ feature.
-
Start-stop cars have uprated components so they can take the extra wear a start-stop system brings.
This usually means stronger starters, batteries, conrods and piston rings. -
â@xIcarus227 so, turning it off means they should last longer than a normal car? Alright, sounds good
-
â@xIcarus227 bro you must be joking, the starter in my f-150 gave out at 50,000 km (~31,000 miles) because of this, ever since than the auto start stop has been shut off immediately after starting the car
-
@Hendrik yeah, definitely. The battery in particular is the one that gets replaced the most often. I permanently turned off start-stop for that exact reason.
-
-
I blimmercoded it out. So that it remembers my last option when I turn my car off
-
This is the most annoying âmost annoyingâ thing normies complain about
-
Normies? It’s the dumbest feature auto makers have ever implemented. Ungodly unnecessary, and the fact you can’t permanently turn it off in almost every single vehicle is absolutely asinine.
-
@SuperFried95 acting like it’s a life-changing issue, at least the option’s there rather than not have it at all
-
@SuperFried95It actually helps fuel economy and thats what so called ânormiesâ care about
-
@Christian it actually doesn’t, especially in stop and go traffic. And even if it does, the margin is extremely minimal, making it completely redundant. Only adding more stress to certain auto parts and adding another possible thing to go wrong. Stupid
-
@SuperFried95 Well just turn it off then and live your life how you want it đ¤Ł
-
-
The fact that they say that the fans âcouldâ face stadium bans. Should be âthey will face bansâ. Joke
-
At least they put the button in the right place so that you can do it with one motion and 2 clicks.
-
I donât think about it anymore, itâs just an instinct to turn it off before pulling away
-
In my Renault Megane the button is even further away, but at least it’s a button and not hidden in a menu.
-
i dont mind it so much, guess it depends on the car, last 2 cars ive had have been pretty seamless, smooth enough you barely notice it starting back up, its the small 3 cylinder turbo’s and diesels that are nasty.
-
Lane Assist
-
Thats also the first thing that i do, start stop shi….t, i hate it
-
Just get it mapped out completely, or have it to be off by default instead of on by default.
-
In my 2018 330i it stays off after you disable it once. đđđ
-
Tell me you didnât code your BMW without telling me you didnât code your BMW
-
I do the same it irritates the life out of me. I’m used to turning it off i do it without thinking about it, stop start batteries are expensive đŽ.
-
Every bmw driver definitely does this.
-
You can code it to recall the previous selection to end this need.
