Maybe put a brick wall barrier in front of the car and have Elon drive it. I’m sure it would stop much better then, or not, don’t care
-
Dude regardless of your political opinion don’t say stuff like that
-
That video was literally an ad for lidar and they misled every viewer, so of course your ignorance is showing. That’s why after the video, people not getting paid to promote lidar did the same testing and the Tesla stopped no problem.

@@alek1004he should say stuff like that its not even that political to say tagt elon can run into a wall with a tesla that’s js a global opinion

@ Wishing death is never ok. What’s wrong with you guys?

Misha Charoudin once drove the new Tesla model 3 performance on the nurburgring. And the brakes got smoking hot and stopped functioning.
He did a lap in the car again with aftermarket brakes and it handled so much better.Tldr, factory brakes from Tesla simply suck

Not just brakes

You absolutely nailed it! Thanks for posting this.

Isnt this car around 60K compared to a Car thats 150K?
-
50k compared to 150k+, carwow is just following the trends
pretty sure the rs7 has carbon ceramics so even the best car brakes will pale in comparison
-
@@ElectricModGarage carbon ceramics dont mean better braking distance, they are just better under intense stress and heat. In this case there would be no difference between a carbon ceramic and normal brakes
-
@@berkk29 gotcha
-
@@berkk29 For this test cold ceramics perform worse than steel. So the RS7 would have stopped better with the normal brakes.

£120k ice Vs a £60k (in top spec) battery electric. Of course it stops better
-
Considering the tires is what stops the cars, its insane every time they do the brake test and complain about it, they never discuss the tires being used.
-
So the Tesla is bad in a slightly different way, great
-
@@Michaelair2323 Tires have nothing to do with the car brand.
-
@@Michaelair2323no they put actually really decent Perelli’s on the performances, brakes just aren’t as good as other competitors. I own a M3P and wish the breaks were better. For how fast it is, it needs better stopping power. Same thing with the Plaid’s
-
The idea is to test the car as you would buy it.
-
@ So you’re saying these are both brand new? Braking distance increases over time as the tires get used.
-
-
Are you telling me a high performance RS model from Audi brakes better than a Tesla ?
-
Yeah, probably cause the brakes are the size of a large dinner plate

It’s all about the tyres, if the brakes are activating the ABS they don’t need more power, you need better tyres
-
You’d think a “car channel” would know that. But they cater to their subscribers, and most of them don’t have a clue either, based on these comments
-
-
In fact the tesla’s brake is not that worse
They compare this thing with audi -
Your diplomacy around the Tesla is quite impressive. Call it how it is boys, the Tesla is shocking!
-
Not a Tesla fan, but a professional car channel not having a clue about tires is a bit silly…
-
Not to mention weight.
-
@kovy689 What does weight have to do with it?
-
-
I never use my brakes in my Model Y
-
Less then half of the audi price, u should’ve competed it against tesla s plaid with carbon ceramic, then judge
-
Carbon ceramics vs regular brakes should’ve been the title
-
Even british cannot joke how horrible elon is
