Its almost like they didn’t know what it was, You’d like to think people who review cars for a living would know what it is. Although I’ve never seen one with a labeled, accessible cap like that, bit odd.

would be nicer if it had something to pull on than the cord. but yeah it does it’s job if pulling on it does it. then again ferrari failed in the design if even a doofus doesn’t get it, in that case would have been better to not have the icon. you know someone is going to put the gas in that hole.

Its the fuel filler for making the exhaust shoot flames. Seriously fill it up, drive it hard and see the flames from back end 🔥🔥🔥

My 2011 Camry has this feature, but not only is the cover better but they also added a handle to the pull strap.

I had an issue with my f20 120d where the fuel cap wouldn’t release. This saved me. With renault you are screwed since it requires cutting through the upholstery

Easy! That’s a chicken nugget dispenser.
You fill the tank with McNuggets and the car keep them warm while you drive home and you get them from that little red cable inside. Pull it and the nuggets appear 😅😅 -

If the fuel flap is stuck ir is broken you can pull the red wire to open it .

More elegant = more mechanical = more failure points. It’s made to be reliable on emergencies hence it’s simplicity
