BMW seem to think no-one drives on unlit roads any more , complete pain to turn all this stuff off so you can actually see outside properly.

I Drive in Plenty of unlit roads in a Car with equally bright ambient lights. Never had an issue

Did you see the option to turn off the ambient lights? You can see it on top of menu of this clip.
Just go to apps in the menu, choose interior lighting, and turn them off, no headache, unless you don’t have a bimmer, and you base your opinion on videos complaining about how hard is to navigate the menu.I dim mine, because I don’t like those suckers reflecting on the windows and windshield.

I find this way over the top. My G20 has a nice balance of ambient lightning. It’s not too much yet it’s not too subtle

Great lights on the inside. Shame BMW drivers don’t use indicators on the outside. Those lights are nice for others

Your joke is outdated. Can’t switch lanes without blinkers. Lane assist doesn’t let you. Unless people have the older bimmers, they can still do that.

I highly doubt you had a fully integrated ambient lighting system in your ‘hand me down mini van’. A few stick on strips don’t count by the way.
