BMW M3 Generations DRAG RACE

FANS LET'S GOOOOOO!!

We've got our hands on every generation of M3, and they're about to go head-to-head over the quarter-mile to discover simply how far the M3 has developed over the generations.

So for this line-up, we have:

–
– E92 M5
–
– G80 M3

It actually doesn't improve than this!

The question is, how different will the performance be throughout these automobiles? After all, we can currently see in the statistics just how various they are. The rolls up with a 2.3-litre 4 cylinder that can produce 200hp and 240Nm, whilst the G80 is loading a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six that can produce 510hp and 650Nm!

So undoubtedly it'll be a tidy sweep for the G80, right? Or could an older edition spring a surprise? There's just one method to find out … LET'S RACE!

      Dont see what the comment fuss is about. Mat has gotten pretty good compared to before, and quite good overall. Thats it. What makes the difference is he is almost always racing other drivers, like in this race, that are not very good at all, or got broken cars (E36).

      @Alex Haugen Lol the colors look a bit differently on my other monitor also during the race. At the very beginning it is slightly purple and that must be Velvet Blue in such case, cause typical purple is for example Midnight Purple, you are right.

      Dakar Gelb adds too much weight… LOL. Overall, the E46 is the winner. I like the looks of the E92 but the E36 is my favorite (owner bias!) — the EVO should have done much better. Ultimate bragging rights to anyone with a clean E30. Still not gotten into the monster maw of the latest ///M.

      @ErikT595 this yellow one is too slow something wrong with it, even my e90 330i does better 1/4 mile 14.2 sec, this m3 should be around 13.5 sec

    The E46 and the E92 both have absolutely timeless designs. They’ve both aged like fine wine. As much as I love the E92 and its high revving V8, the E46 is still king for me. I love that car, and the way it drives. It’s enticing to say the least.
