So let's see how the 2 compare. Beginning with the , it's powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo straight-six that can produce 510hp and 650Nm of torque. This power is sent to all four wheels through an 8-speed automated gearbox, and it weighs in at 1,865 kg.

Then we come to the Audi. Under the bonnet it's loading a 4-litre twin-turbo V8, and this produces a marvelous 630hp and 850Nm. It's equipped with an 8-speed automated gearbox, and this delivers the power to all-four wheels. When it pertains to weight, it tips the scales at 2,065 kg.

      ⁠@@D1ssent. S58 is already established to be underrated. Typical bmw characteristic. Quoted 510 crank putting higher 400’s down on dynos lol. That’s a 540-560hp car. F10 M5 numbers for more perspective. RS7 did what it was supposed to do. As did the M3.

      @@D1ssent. its not the M3 is 200kg lighter and it doesnt make 510hp dynos have shown it making 545-550 hp as BMW underrate their cars so that result is fair .The rs7 being an audi is likley making is actual figures.

      They both are, the standard RS7 weighs 50lbs short of 5000lbs in the real world and makes around 540awhp on a dynojet according to Bms.

      Often times we’ll see the standard trim RS6 compared to the M5 Comp or M3 comp, which isn’t comparable at all given that it’s a wagon and isn’t the performance trim.
      The RS7 isn’t a sedan and weighs more than what an RS6 sedan would weigh (A7/S7 weighs more than A6/S6 sedan).

      If Audi spent more on r&d for the EA839 (3.0t/2.9t) and given it larger turbos, then we could see them make similar power to the S58’s stock for stock.

      Until then, they are making similar power to base/comp spec S55’s.
