It's time for the supreme Aston Martin face-off!!!
We've got our hands on a whole load of Britain's finest, and they're all about to go head-to-head throughout the 1/4-mile through the generations. The question is, will the almighty Valkyrie show to be the supreme Aston Martin? Let's take a better look at the contenders.
First up we have the Rapide versus a 2010 Vantage. Both vehicles are powered by a 5.9-litre naturally-aspirated V12, with the Rapide producing 477hp and 600Nm, while the Vantage puts down 517hp and 570Nm. Both cars send power to the rear wheels, and the Vantage is lightest, at 1,680 kg.
Up next we have the DBS. It includes the same engine, exact same power output and a practically similar weight at the Vantage, however while the Vantage was a 6-speed handbook, the DBS is a 6-speed auto!
Following the DBS, we have a 2014 Vanquish. As with the previous contenders it's loading a 5.9-litre naturally-aspirated V12, but this edition produces 573hp and 620Nm. Power is sent out to the rear wheels via a 6-speed auto, and it suggestions the scales at 1,739 kg.
Up next will be the DBX 707. It's powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8, and as the name recommends, it creates 707hp coupled with 900Nm. It's equipped with a 9-speed automobile, four wheel drive, and it's the heaviest car here at 2,245 kg.
Then we move into the more recent supercars. First off it's the new V8 Vantage, which is powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that develops 665hp and 800Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels, and it weighs in at 1,670 kg.
This will be followed by the new V12 Vantage, which is packing a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 that puts down 700hp and 752Nm. Once again power is sent out to the rear wheels by means of an 8-speed vehicle, with the vehicle weighing in at 1,795 kg.
The penultimate contender will be the new Vanquish. It's packing the exact same 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 as the Vantage, but here it produces 835hp and 1000Nm. It's geared up with an 8-speed vehicle which sends the power to the rear wheels, and it tips the scales at 1,835 kg.
Lastly, we pertain to the ultimate Aston Martin – the Valkyrie. It's packing an extraordinary 6.5-litre naturally-aspirated V12 as well as an electric motor, and this creates an almighty 1,155 hp and 900Nm. This is sent to the rear wheels by means of a 7-speed consecutive transmission, and the car weighs only 1,370 kg. It's also by far the most pricey car here, costing from โค 2,500,000!
So will the Valkyrie perform when the pressure's on? There's only one way to find out … LET'S RACE!
