It's time for a Porsche GT3 RS generations drag race!

We've got Mat lining up in the 996, and together with him we have a 997.2, a 991, and a 992.1, and we will race them all up a runway to see just how the GT3 RS has evolved since it was first released in 2006!

All 4 cars and trucks are rear wheel drive, and all are powered by naturally aspirated flat 6 engines. However will it be an easy win for the more recent 992.1? Let's take a more detailed take a look at the statistics …

The 996 generation is powered by a 3.6-litre flat six that generates 381hp and 385Nm. This power is sent out to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission, and it's the lightest automobile here at 1,360 kg. In 2026 the automobile is worth around ₤ 180,000.

Together with it we have the 997.2. It's geared up with a 3.8-litre flat-six, and this develops 450hp and 430Nm. When once again power is sent out to the rear wheels by means of a 6-speed handbook, and it tips the scales at 1,370 kg. As of today it deserves around ₤ 200,000.

      The one Matt was in has averaged 500 miles a year over it’s 21 years. I reckon most people could keep their cars looking mint if they only did that mileage.
      Sadly so many of these cars just sit in garages and never get driven.
