Every week, the Electrifying.com meet online to go over all the concerns at hand. Such as the weather, what we're all having for our tea and who disposed who in last night's Love Island. In between these heavyweight subjects, we also talk about electric cars and trucks. A lot. Probably an unhealthy total up to be honest.

And when we do go over vehicles, we discover a lot. From market gossip to the more mundane practicalities of electric cars and truck ownership, it's the location where we dish the dirt on the automobiles we have actually been driving and deliver our own verdicts on the current electric cars and truck news. We also like to have a great laugh at the daftest bits of anti-electric news that we have actually seen in journalism.

We can't guarantee that you'll discover much. You probably will not. But if you fancy 30 minutes of idle chat and gossip about the world of electrical automobiles, we're here for you. If you like it/ dislike it/ think it's too long or too brief, let us understand.

22:00 – I have an older Kia Soul and I honestly cant imagine any other upgrade other than the 2020/2021 First Edition. Now discontinued, here’s (sadly?) not much like it in that shape, unless you want to get a Smart 1 for £10,000 more

Dissing the Nissan and loving the Renault sounds a little snobby to me. Hoping I’m wrong…

I read a comment somewhere that some markets don’t sell Renault, but they do sell Nissan, so badge engineering makes sense to get the car out there. Benefits both companies.
And for the consumer, just think of the Nissan as additional trim options 😊

Only car reviewers would care about the Nissan micra. Customers will only drive one and if they are as good as each other, noone will care about which is original. Maybe in 40 years when they are “classics”. People will buy on basis of the best deal and if they have had good experience with the brand before.

To me it looked like the NIssan Micra can have leather seats and the Renault 5 can’t. So for the 20% of the population with dust mite allergy it’s a no-brainer, the Micra is the only one they can buy.

Love the fact that in the last 5 years the manufacturers have suddenly designed and released so many new and fresh designs. So bored with 2010 to 2020 when hardly anything changed or was really new and fresh.

I have ordered an inster and hopefully will be picking it up next Saturday. Went for black with the lighter interior. Can get some good deals on them if you look around

The Kia PV range will only be available from some dealers. There was a press release a few months ago announcing the dealers.

We just chopped in our “windknife” for an Inster on Monday. (It’s Friday now) We’ll never have the 6+m/kWh but so far we’re getting 4.8-4.9 m/kWh and the weather’s cooling down, can’t wait for summer!😂
I was getting antsy about getting parts for the Ioniq38kW and Hyundai made us an offer we couldn’t refuse having invited us in for their sales weekend. My wife is quite disgusted with the unmissable colour I chose: Sienna Orange but I love it, I can find it in a car park and I can fit my walker in the boot or behind the seats. It took me down a busy country lane diversion route and got past everything including a pick up truck without touching the hedge and it’s so much easier to park, fits in tiny spaces which is what we needed. If you’re in Kent, look out for us, all the others in the showroom were khaki green. 🧡😁👍

Badge engineering! One day dad was given a urgent job, “get these boxes down the docks ASAP, they’ve run out of badges”, at that time it was GM’s policy that the Vauxhall badge would only be applied on UK soil, and there was a workshop at the docks set up to do that.

It has been absoultely nuts for you guys the last few weeks and the amount of content being spewed out is impressive to say the least. Most of it I have been watching (of course) but possibly means I have spent more time with you than my own family !

Don’t know why specifically in this episode, I noticed it so much, but it found it a little distracting that you’re only using a third of the screen space when all 3 of you are on screen. As such, you’re all smaller than you could be. Any chance in future it could be 3 quarters (two bottom corners and either top left or top centre, for example)? Thanks.

The 500 mile range is useful for people who live in apartments or only have only street parking, at average mileage they’d only need to charge about once a month. It’s not all about single journeys

As a parent of three, I’d be choosing by usability – which doors open widest, which can you access the child with the seats in place seats in (feeding, calming, always fiddly), which can take a large buggy and all the bags, which makes changing nappies easiest. I’d be choosing the sliding doors and rear door that keeps the rain off of the VW ID Buzz.

Hi guys love the team, the podcast and reviews, I am a new R5 owner it’s great and has me wee heart, had mine since launch, similar though only seen 2 since it launched near me, thought I wud see loads. I love the new Micra too, it’s a great looking car, they changed the lights the side skits, the arches and the raised the shoulder line and bonnet hight, looks good ( in my view anyway haha) Renault and Nissan work and have worked on so many cars in the past, the clio and Micra were the last one, was so so similar. I get the interior it’s the same however the only real nod to the original 5 is the roof the rest is just a nice two tiered interior same as on the R4. Nissan has used some nicer material over the top of the dash etc compared to the R5. I mean VW did the same with the City go, the Up! and the Mii all exactly the same inside , the Micra will also be sold in markets the R5 isn’t so some won’t even know it’s based on the R5, when your low on finance why spend money you don’t need to, it’s a great wee car. Would be interesting how people would have reacted if Nissan launched first?

The Inster will sell very well, with the £3750 discount and a starling price of £19,755.

I think the problem with the Insta is similar to the 500 (for looks not range) it’s too cute looking tends to not sell so well. The mini is cute but looks sporty, the other little cars that seem to sell well are more aggressive and sporty looking than pure out cute.
