Is this £50k Rolls-Royce the ultimate luxury car?

Change your vehicle with Carwow:

Which uses the very best worth for money – a ₤ 50,000 top-of-the-range Skoda Superb, or a ₤ 50,000 Rolls-Royce Phantom from 2007?

Well, we have actually got our hands on both, and Mat's about to put them through a series of tests to see which provides the best value for money.

When it pertains to the design, the Rolls-Royce just exudes luxury, even if it is 18 years of ages. The big grille in advance is made of genuine metal, and the size of the bonnet simply provides it fantastic presence on the road. Granted, it may just have xenon headlights, but what do you expect on an old cars and truck like this?

As for the design of the Skoda, it's not a bad-looking cars and truck, however it simply doesn't have the presence or elegance of the Rolls. If anything, with it being in black like we have here, it apparently simply flies under the radar.

On the within, the Skoda is a nice cars and truck to sit in, specifically in this Laurin & Klement edition. It has the current Skoda tech, good develop quality, and this L&K edition has a bespoke steering wheel, special seats, and wood on the control panel!

But this quality is absolutely nothing compared to the quality of the Rolls. There is leather definitely all over, loads of space in the front and the back, and any switch or button just feels costly. There are several special touches inside too, such as screens for the rear travelers, and an integrated smart phone – even if it is an old Nokia!

The Skoda is powered by a 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel that produces 190hp and 400Nm. Power is sent to all 4 wheels by means of a 7-speed automobile transmission. When it comes to the Rolls, it's powered by a massive 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 that produces 460hp and 720Nm. This power is sent to the rear wheels via a 6-speed auto.

So, is the all-new Skoda a much better purchase than the Rolls? Or should you pick this 18-year-old luxurious cruiser rather? Stick with Mat to see on your own!

Huge thanks to A. W. Lymn for the Rolls-Royce Phantom. You can employ this really cars and truck for your special event:

Wouldn’t pick none of these. The Rolls would be nightmare to maintain, and the Skoda, even at its highest spec is just an ordinary Skoda. A cheap VW. I would take Lexus LS for half that cash and will drive in style, luxury, reliability and exclusivity far beyond what these two can offer.

Won’t be as bad over a couple years of ownership as buying a new Skoda will be with depreciation. Also rolls Royce aren’t actually that expensive to insure as they’re not stolen and rarely crashed. Less then an M140 BMW.
