Alex and Travis, They say you have to speculate to accumulate. Let’s hope your speculative efforts yield more EV Buyers Guide subscribers. 😁

Tesla hired Henrik Fisker’s design company to design the Model S. Henrik himself was never a Tesla employee or even consultant. Elon said Fisker design delivered a generic styled car. Which Franz von Holzhausen later fixed. Then Fisker designed a great unique looking car for itself. Taking aerodynamic learnings from Tesla. Yes, Tesla lost that lawsuit.

I don’t imagine there were too many employed by the design company. -Travis

To be fair, Hyundai-Kia-Genesis is known for 12 V battery issues as well.

12 V batteries haven’t been used in ICE vehicles like they are in EVs so it makes sense to see some unusual behavior but completely failing at 2,500 miles isn’t a good sign. -Travis

I’d rather gamble and get the fisker ocean. Besides I’ve seen and driven much worse EVs

At least the ocean is fast fun to drive good looking, and the interior is luxurious. And the range is good

But would I get it over the Korean evs or Tesla? Probably not…

If the build quality seems reasonable it may be good for a few years, but on resale it may be only good as a parts car.

give this company time to survive and fix the issues instead beating it while its down, sounds like most of youtubers including EV buyers guide are just trying to get some viewers from Fisker while its centre of attention , not cool guys

Talking about their potential bankruptcy is not beating it while it’s down. It’s automotive news. Remember, this is not bullying a person. It’s talking about the state of a company run by a guy who has shown in the past he can’t run a company. People shilling for Vinfast sound about as sad as you do here.

Good video. Fisker needed more time. But more time requires a boat loan of more money

Their first vehicle needed to be almost perfect. No glitches , no problems.
Instead due to shallow pockets, they rushed it out.
Results? Worst key fob in the history of Vehicles, super glitchy software (especially early on)
Brand new buyers getting locked out of their vehicles. 12 volt batteries dying.
The list goes on and on. Now fisker is saying nothing. How does it take months to push out a software update? We are not talking about 100,000’s or thousands of vehicles here

Henrik and his leech were in way over their heads here. They needed to be a partner on a larger company. Not the head honcho
Henrik = head honcho = bankruptcy

I get that software is important for an EV, but what about fit and finish, material quality, attention to detail, etc? I remember when the Karma came out and a local Ford Dealer (Ted Britt) had half a dozen of them, unsold at two year old. I was there helping a friend car shop (she ended up with an Acura she still has) and I asked to look at one and the fit and finish was by far the worst I have ever seen on a production model. Worse than a mid-90s Hyundai Accent bad, on a vastly over-priced, kinda ugly model from a dead brand.

So these clowns are saying the owners who think their Ocean is fine and they like them are wrong ?😂😂 The absurdity of these YouTubers who think they are gods and they know it the best for everyone !

Nobody ever said “fine” is wrong, but if you think the Ocean is “the best car in the world” as some have lately said, then I’m sorry, that is wrong. Clearly the best car in the world is a 1999 Mercedes 560 SEL…

That Fisker was 70k+, Polestar 3 starts around 73k – do you think the Polestar 3 is going to be “worth” that price? I’m not so well versed in how “luxurious” the Ocean is but the Polestar 3 seems to be quite luxurious + built in the US this summer, initial driving impressions seem good. Just trying to gauge how off the Fisker pricing really was.

Shame on you wanna be journalists. There are still problems with Tesla AutoPilot with phantom braking events, we still don’t have production FSD YET you are never consistently harsh on Tesla about this. Tesla still delivers cars with visible problems yet you don’t critique them harshly as a manufacturer. The CyberTruck is being delivered without AutoPilot or FSD yet you are not harsh on them for doing so. When the Model 3 was 1st released there was a laundry list of things requiring fixing (water in trunk, taillights, noisy, etc.) demonstrating this is not a Fisker-only problem. If you don’t want to judge vehicles with a consistent standard, disclose your bias upfront.
