    I really engine the space of the ICE GLB and looking forward to this one as it’s so spacious, reminds me of my old Scion Xb but more posh. Plus, if you wait after a couple of years you’ll probably get a great CPO on this as they offer really good rates. I had looked at the EQB but did not pull the trigger as I wanted more range and not a first gen, plus the GLB is built as an EV vs a converted ICE to EV like the EQB.

    Looks so bland, maybe the designers were on holiday.
    Pointless 2nd screen.

    While people started to buy EV’s more because charging network across the world improved significantly, this car disqualified more than half of these charging stations which is not ok.

    I’m stuck in the old world.

    And to me..this isn’t a Mercedes Benz.
    I appreciate that it may be a good car but I’m nearly 50 years old and I’d love for you younger people to be able to experience the Mercedes that was available to me as a young man.
    A luxury car was something to behold.

      I’m 59 years old and have none of these age-related thoughts. If you choose to be old, then you are.

    In the coming weeks, we’ll be putting the new GLB Electric up against the seven-seat Tesla Model Y. Which car do you think will have the longest range and the best efficiency in the real world?

    Tesla V4 supercharger sites need the cabinet upgraded to V4 to achieve the 1000V speeds, which they seem to be doing as a second phase at some sites. Many medium chargers are compatible, e.g. Instavolt which generally has sluggish 120KWh chargers says they are all 800V compatible. When Mercedes released the CLA they said the autorouting would only direct you to compatible chargers, does it do that on the GLB?

    1. @whatcar Avatar
      @whatcar

      Hello – yes, if you use the native navigation system you will only be directed to compatible chargers. We cover this at 16:01.

    It’s also worth mentioning that the GLB is the most compact of the bunch, which has its merits in and around cities like London.

    the lack of 400V is just forced redundancy at this point, there is no reason to have it as an option

      It comes with 800V and drives to the future. Dino juice days are over, or go cruising in Hormuz if you fancy it.

    In Finland, they will not import the non-400V charging version at all. Problem solved.

    Based on the GLB is the Smart #5… Which I prefer. Still as spacious, yet cheaper.
