I’d prefer the government to just add two grand tax to the list price, rather than get the people buying a second hand car 5 years later.

@jamstaa69It’s battering the market. I’d change my car for a two year old decent hybrid, but I’d get snashed by this tax for four years. So I’m keeping my reliable 10 year old BMW diesel instead. For a long time!

Biggest tax scam invented.. It wasn’t designed for a market where all the new tech cars that usually push the price up, are now everyday cars due to the hiked prices for EV. Of course they won’t correct it.. we keep paying it, because we have to. Probably also a reason not brought in to conversation when you get people talking about EV sales.
