I don’t think I’ve ever been inconvenienced by current charging rates. I charge my car overnight at home 99% of the time, and when i have had to charge on longer journeys, I’ve stretched my legs, gone to the toilet, got a cup of tea, and the vw app has always pinged to tell me the charge is done before i was even ready to leave.
I agree with Ginny: faster charging, less range. I don’t mind to stop to charge for a 300 mile trip. I would never go for 150 miles without a break. Only problem, of course is to have one of these every 50 miles in all directions. I think we will get there.
They are quite literally changing the game
DNO says no…
Does that work with any EV ?
No
There’s only a few that can use those speeds.
Meanwhile my leaf does 50kw and that’s been fine for me. By the time you’ve gone for a wee and bought a coffee – you’re good to go.
We need smaller batteries less heavy and more efficient cars not these huge batteries going in to latest cars
Faster charging is good to have I suppose but I sometimes park on slower chargers given me time to eat lunch 😊
How much is it going to cost for the convenience of super fast charging, I would imagine not cheap
How much does its cost per kWh?
Yes yes yes. This will start a revolution in EV design because it will enable a wider variety of versions of each model. Obviously it will take a few years to cover the UK but it will certainly bring a new vision into the minds of buyers.
Damn so I can’t take loo break 😢
