They act as If it is something new. Had it on my X and will have it on my GT in August. Unless the iX5 can fly can all the so called motor journalists just STFU!!!!

@yitzele I am just so tired of all ”motor journalists”. It is great that iX5 comes. Good for BMW, Germany & Europe. But to emphasize on automatic doors, something that every other manufacturer has or have had for years. I just wonder what is next. The new iX5 has 4 wheels!!??

Hmm… Does the Ford Mach E not have these? The winglet, not the self-opening/closing doors.
I wonder if dirt will collect there, so you end up with grubby fingers, yuk! Also what happens if the 12v battery dies, it’s a BMW, they would have thought about that, I need not worry.

Those X-shaped lights make the car look like a dead cartoon beaver or an advertisement for X (formerly Twitter). Is this some kind of joke? Between Mercedes putting its stars on every surface and this latest design innovation from BMW, it makes me wonder if Germany as a society is OK.

More utter crap no one wants or needs but WILL go wrong like all cars nowadays. It seems like manufacturers have forgotten to get the basics right in their obsession to put up prices to obscene levels!!!
