      Audi in general have good brakes because they are expected to be driven fast on the autobahn, so they need to be able to stop fast as well.

    Yeah, thats why you should turn regen braking off and use the brakes now and again, makes a massive difference to brake performance.

      How so? You’re going into full ABS regardless. Limit of tire.

      @FoookOff

      โ€‹@snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakeBecause the brakes aren’t good enough to lock the wheels at that speed.

    3. @snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake Avatar
      @snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake

      โ€‹โ€‹@FoookOff Who told you that nonsense? The only reason they don’t lock up is ABS. You pull that fuse, and those wheels would lock up instantly.

      @FoookOff

      @snaaa@snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakethey donโ€™t lock at high speed because the brakes are crap. The brakes are crap because they never get used because itโ€™s an EV with regen braking. If the brakes arenโ€™t capable of locking the wheels then ABS wonโ€™t modulate the pressure to stop the wheels from locking. It you turn regen off and use the brakes more you will get better brake performance. I have a high power EV I know the difference first hand.

      @snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake

      โ€‹@FoookOff How are brakes crap? You’re making that up. Every EV has powerful enough brakes to lock up the wheels without ABS at these speeds. Carwow also recieves brand new cars from OEMs so this isn’t some high mileage poor condition vehicle.

      It’s literally moronic to suggest otherwise. You’re completely making this nonsense up.

      Downshift? It’s a paddle regen to increase or decrease the power ๐Ÿคจ

    You sure know Hyundai had to recall 2025 models of the Ioniq 5 N regarding brake problems, which could lead to longer braking distances ….
