    Awesome review! Can you guys also be the first to review the Rivian R2 vs the Lucid Cosmos when they come out? 🤓

    Parallelograms have four sides that’s an irregular hexagon of a screen! Still not sure if I like it but the big bar near the windshield is pretty cool tho, and love these two doing their reviews my AbFabs!

    How does the efficiency compare ? Smaller battery doesn’t necessarily mean much shorter range.

      The BMW comes out at 4.54 miles per kWh on WLTP range divided by usable capacity, the Mercedes 4.16.

      the ix3 is all over the fkn place as low as 2.8 miles per kwh hwy reported at anything over 100kmh to bjorn doing sunday style back road driving and getting well over 500 real world miles on a charge. Autofueghl has an in depth efficiency review on the ix3 and it’s pretty thirsty.

    IF you need that extra 100miles, there is no other choice. HOWEVER… you just sat in the much more refined interior, with manually controlled vents, and ventilated seats, and btw.. you can get heated rear seats in MB. So if I have to compare both after 300 miles, I would grab MB, and during the toilet break charge it to negate this 100-mile range difference. because I need this extra range three times a year, while I will appreciate the better interior every single day.

    You can adjust the headrest backwards and forwards, not just up and down, surprised you didnt notice the huge button for it ;).

    In the Mercedes, if you have the drivers display in “Media Mode” then you can swap songs using the arrows on the steering wheel. They have had it like this for years now and it is not great ;).

      I wonder when they’ll be convinced to do double/triple presses of the music wheel for that via ota.

      Now that auto motor sport reviewed all german suvs in the segment (yes before this channels video) and crowned the glc the winner, it is likely. Because that lack of a button for skipping got mb points deducted and the product managers certainly are analyzing that review, AMS is germanys largest most prestigious car magazine

    @Nicola, couldn’t you use the individual mode (as opposed to comfort, eco or sport) and set the suspension to sport but everything else to comfort? I think that might be the solution 👍

  12. @BradLad-q4u Avatar
    @BradLad-q4u

    Does the Mercedes not have an individual mode, where you can set the suspension more firmly but keep the drive train relaxed?

    1. @casaxtreme2952 Avatar
      @casaxtreme2952

      it does have exactly that mode

    2. @BradLad-q4u Avatar
      @BradLad-q4u

      I had thought so!
      When watching autogefuhl, who are excellent and thorough reviewers, driving the iX3 they mention how they miss the air suspension in the Merc and that it’s better.

    I own a NK iX3 (on 21s) and if there’s one thing that lets it down it’s the ride quality. Well not so much the ride itself but the bumping, booming and thumping noises that come through into the cabin. It needs air or at least adaptive dampers.

    They’ve also cheaped out in a few places, no external frunk release, no 12V socket or load eyelets in the cargo area, no internal grab handles above the front doors, no seat belt height adjustment on the B pillars, and the front seats have a couple of external seams that really shouldn’t be there. Drive Recorder is a subscription option too.

    And Ginny, you didn’t have the suspension in Comfort, the suspension can’t be adjusted.
    Also, the BMW virtual assistant can be deactivated so it doesn’t interrupt you every time you say….

    It surprises me that the Airmatic suspension performed so poorly in this test. I have seen several other independent tests—conducted by highly technically savvy individuals—and all of them praised it. Moreover, Mercedes knows very well how to build excellent suspension systems.
    Unfortunately, Airmatic is invariably coupled with rear-axle steering. Consequently, anyone who wants the smaller turning circle is forced to opt for the Airmatic.

    You can set the individual mode on the merc by selecting sport on the suspension and comfort on everything else
