No that’s Trumps latest number picked from the ether to try and make his case look good. Just like the claim that other NATO members don’e keep up their payments into NATO when there is no such thing. It’s all a lemon salesman sales talk to try and make the sale. Bit like when he used to tell potential customers for his development that they were over 75% sold out when in reality they were just over 20% (as shown in court records). As American companies are now discovering Canada has spent billions of dollars buying US products each year now that business could well have been lost. Canada is now no longer selling oil to the US with a discount and is selling that oil instead elsewhere at ful price and once those sales are locked in the US will probably never again be able to get any oil at a discount because the Canadians will have alternative customers willing to pay the full price.

If you’re talking about the US giving Canada money, or subsidizing as tRump puts it, that is not true. The US buys Canadian products and pays for it as Canada does also.

This is inaccurate. The Canadian P.M. did NOT cancel the F-35 agreement. The minister of Defence asked for a review. The analysis to come out of this review process may enlighten Canadian decison makers on options considering the new context. There are the facts.

Why does Canada spend anything on defense? Canada could not defend itself from a well armed boy scout troop. No need for an Army, Navy, Air Force. Canada has its big brother next door to defend it.
Keep setting your hair on fire an damaging the relationship between the U. S. an Canada.
Reciprocal tariffs would end all this but why do what makes the most sense. Lets go back to pre NAFTA. How was Canada doing back then. The U. S. was doing great.

Some of the stats are not correct citing older and smaller Gripen C. For instance Gripen E has ferry range over 4000 km.
