Interesting that you’d call it Ford’s best car… when it’s a VW under the skin.
-
…but much better on skin!!
-
I didn’t know that! Is Ford sharing platforms with VW now?
-
@@edombre4637 In some models. They have a technical partnership, this Explorer uses VW MEB platform (same as ID.3, ID.4…)
-
@@edombre4637 Ford has a good relationship with VW ever since they did a partnership named Autolatina in the 80’s
-
@edombre4637 Yup, Ford get VW’s MEB platform for passenger vehicles, so this is a reskinned ID.whatever – notice the light “switch” panel to the right of the wheel as he gets in. In return, VW gets Ford’s commercial vehicles. The already-out (and not selling) VW Caddy is identical to the Ford Transit Courier, and the soon-to-come new VW Transporter is a lightly reskinned Ford Transit – built in the same Turkish factory! I Think Ford are the winners from this deal…

Yes, changing the pikey lighting is a key requirement 🙄
-
Like every car has this as an option nowadays..
-
-
I think we can all agree that this is a car
-
Any company who thinks capacitive buttons and touch screens in place of physical buttons are a good idea, are deluded.
-
They think it’s a marvellous idea because it’s so much cheaper to shove everything into a screen and people will buy it anyway.
-
It’s a money thing. They often even have the audacity to install hardware that’s unresponsive, as if they want to kill their customers by distracting them while driving
-
I will bet you use the same excuse not to buy smartphone then you caved in.
-
@@reyfetsalmo3346 you can look down at your smartphone. You can’t keep looking away when driving. What a stupid comment 😂
-
@@reyfetsalmo3346if i am not wrong i dont think people drive smartphones

Governments should mandate physical buttons for things like climate- and music control. I bet those will safe more lives than the mandatory physical button for hazard lights
-
Or you know, you could just be a more responsible driver and not mess with things in your car while you’re driving.
-
You know some options can be controlled by voice.

-
oh wow a custom ford rgb gaming pc
-
This is just a VW ID.4 with other body panels and emblems. Don’t call it a Ford.
-
The fiesta died for this
-
-
All I see is cheap plastics and crappy (touch-)screens … you’re sure it’s actually capable of driving decently or is that an afterthought with certain brands nowadays ?
-
It’s basically a VW ID.4 underneath with a Ford skin on top. So I’d say it’s pretty comfy ride wise don’t know about everything else.
-
@@ProXcaliber Hmmm, that makes it a completely different (non-SUV) than previous Explorers … and having Chinese batteries :/
-
@@skillaxxx Most EVs have Chinese batteries because that’s where most of the raw materials come from.
-
@@ProXcaliber I know, but just saying the ‘best Ford Explorer’ ever is a 99% Chinese & German product with merely some Ford badges and styling cues….
-
@@skillaxxx To be fair to Ford here, there are a lot of models in the last few years that are a mashup of a ton of brands, with one brand being the skin over it. A good example is the recent Toyota Supra.
-
-
Is that car the reason why they had to cancel the fiesta and focus, one of Britain’s best selling hatchbacks for decades. They have just lost a fantastic loyal customer base well done ford!!
-
Ford euro is not the same Ford. They sucks now. In the 2000’s in Spain. The focus was #1.
-
Yes, essentially. They discontinued the Fiesta and Mondeo; Focus will follow in 2025
-
-
So you car guys discover RGB ambient light and that makes it “the best a brand has done”?! Even gamers with 0 car knowledge are disappointed of you.
-
Thankfully video games are for children who are too young to drive, so the opinion of children is irrelevant.
-
@@conor7154 OK boomer. Never mentioned children, the gamers with RGB stuff aren’t in a Nintendo, but that’s too hard to grasp.
-
-
If this is the deciding factor then Ford is way more behind than I thought.
-
Genuinely one of the worst interiors ive seen on a modern car.
-
lol all those screens and “buttons” will be broke in 2 years max but okay.
-
I think they should release that car here in the US when the market goes back up
-
Why can absolutely nobody just build the screens into the interior? They just gotta slap them on top and call it done 😩
-
Must be trolling right cuz wtf?! That ain’t no Explorer 💀, bro called it Ford’s best car I’m dead 😭💀
-
Ford’s best car has always been: the train. 😂
-
Mk5 Fiesta Zetec-S in imperial blue was their best car.
-
Give me a 1980 mk2 escort instead of that anytime!!! To much tech to go wrong
