The all-new Audi A6 Allroad is here!

It's the 5th model of the A6 Allroad, and Mat's ready to put this one through its paces to see if it has what it requires to stack up against its predecessors. What's more, he'll also see how the functionality compares to some of the latest Audi estates and SUVs readily available today.

But first up, let's check out the style …

In advance, the A6 Allroad sports a few design distinctions from the routine A6. It's equipped with an all-new lower bumper, in addition to an unique and different grille design. There are also extra vents in the lower bumper to assist airflow through to the wheels. Along the side, there are broadened wheel arches at the front and back, combined with black cladding on the surrounds and on the sills – you'll likewise discover black satin roof bars on the top. At the back, when again there's a new bumper, combined with some 100% genuine exhaust pointers!

On the within, the design language mirrors any recent brand-new Audi release. There's a big diving digital dial and infotainment screen, paired with a guest screen sitting across the rest of the dash. There are soft-touch and Alcantara materials along the dash, although reach lower down and you'll discover some scratchy black plastics. The A6 Allroad is fitted with comfy, figure-hugging sports seats, and there's a decent adequate quantity of storage in the cabin.

There are 2 engine options readily available for the A6 Allroad. The car we have actually here is equipped with the 3-litre V6 turbo diesel, and this delivers 299hp and 580Nm to all four wheels by means of a 7-speed dual-clutch. You can also pick a 2-litre 4-cylinder plug-in hybrid, and although it features a higher power output of 367hp, we think the diesel is the much better choice of the 2.

So it sounds like a great car, right? Well, of course, it does not come cheap. The brand-new A6 Allroad starts from ₤ 69,700, however for the cars and truck we have here in this video, with great deals of alternatives included? You're looking at north of ₤ 90,300! So is it worth it? Let us know what you think in the remarks!

I asked for a car like a car but higher to make it easier for me to get in and also higher so I have better visibility.

Seems like SUV’s answered my questions.

WRONG they are the solution to a problem no one realised. HIGHER H-POINT. Soo that way people with not big foot print cars can have higher seating position and easier ingress and egress. This is maybe due to people being unhealthy and new cars being soo expensive that it’s mostly buyers later in life. This is the subconcious reason why buyers gravitate to CUVs even though they are not big.

This car is enormous and has less boot space than a previous-gen A4. The sloping roofline also means you can’t stack anything vertically. It completely defeats the purpose of an estate car. Such a shame…

@kerrinnaude2777 absolutely, but unfortunately there aren’t many car options that still have buttons and a nice driver’s cockpit and no 50 inch center display that blocks half the windshield. Since pretty much every manufacturer is going the cheap route, there’s nothing you can do

@EnroDesigns After a few years of cost cutting on fake exhausts… To me the exhausts were the visual cue that allowed you to guess from a distance what engine was in there, at least until they did dual exhausts on the C7 TDI ultra 2.0

@typhoon-7see that’s a reasonable response, I wouldn’t buy an estate for off roading, I’d buy a Hilux personally haha. But sooooo many many people lumber around to school and football in an X7, for what? They all look gash anyway and they’re bloody enormous 😂
