When it concerns off-roaders, couple of brands are doing it much better than Toyota and Land Rover. The concern is, does the all-new Land Cruiser have what it takes to beat a 15-year-old Range Rover over a series of off-road challenges?

To learn, let's take a more detailed take a look at the stats …

To begin with, we have the Land Cruiser, which is powered by a 2.8-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel. This creates 204hp and 500Nm, with this power sent to all four wheels. It weighs in at 2,415 kg, and as brand-new it costs around ₤ 80,000.

Then we concern the Variety Rover – which is Sam's own car! There's a 3.6-litre twin-turbo V8 diesel under the bonnet, and this sends 272hp and 640Nm to all 4 wheels. It's a fair bit much heavier than the Toyota, weighing in at 2,642 kg, but it's a whole lot cheaper – Sam only paid ₤ 5,000 for it!

Both cars and trucks come with a number of off-road functions, but will the amount of tech in the Land Cruiser be too much for the Range Rover to match? Stick with Mat and Sam to see on your own!

    Lovely a L322. You guys need to do the L405 too infact make a couple videos 😂 the L405 against the L322 as well as the new defender maybe even Graham’s Disco 3 or if you can find a disco 4 and whatever else you guys finds.

      @manuelpiston did it occur to you, that maybe people think the L322 is cool? Maybe the interior is much nicer and maybe at £75k less in price, they don’t care about an extra grand a year in maintenance? I’d happily buy an L322 for £5k, even if I had millions in the bank, I’d never pay £80k for a landcruiser. L322 for me every single time and image has nothing to do with it.
