The new Ferrari Luce: My HONEST take…

This is the Ferrari Luce, Ferrari's extremely first all-electric car – and it may be the most questionable vehicle of the years!

Check out new and pre-owned car deals with Carwow:

It's not the very first time Ferrari has actually aimed to utilize electrical power in its vehicles. The similarity the SF90 and 296 are some of the most popular Ferraris around. However this is the very first all-electric car to roll off the assembly line at Maranello – and the reception has actually been … Intriguing!

So what's all the fuss about? Let's take a better look.

In regards to the design, there's one BIG factor in why individuals aren't pleased with the looks – and that's due to the fact that it wasn't even developed by Ferrari! It was created by LoveFrom, an imaginative collective directed by ex-Apple designer Sir Jony Ive, and it appears their final result has proven particularly dissentious. There are 'drifting' front and rear spoilers, rear-hinged doors for the back seat travelers, and it can be found in as Ferrari's biggest car to date – over 5m long! All in all, we worry that it looks more like an equivalent Chinese EV, rather than a cars and truck worth a ₤ 400,000+ cost!

Luckily, there's a lot to like about the interior. Regardless of being an EV, physical dials and buttons have been retained. There's a big, movable infotainment screen in the centre of the dash, however otherwise it's kept relatively minimalist and clean – unlike most modern-day automobiles with picky, complicated interiors. What's more, it's likewise the second Ferrari to come with 4 doors, and the very first to come with a bench seat for 5 passengers in the rear!

In terms of performance, the Luce is an absolute powerhouse. It features four electrical motors, and these integrate to propel you to 60mph in just 2.5 seconds. It has a leading speed of 193mph, and it produces an eye-watering 1,050 hp! Nevertheless, in spite of its big size, it's not the heaviest EV out there, tipping the scales at 2,260 kg. That's 400kg lighter than a BMW iX M70!

So what do you think – is it worth the substantial ₤ 474,000 price tag?! And more notably, do you think Ferrari will actually manage to sell any other?! Let us understand in the remarks!

easy , enzo died ; and coorporate greed got hold of the company. if enzo where alive this pos would have never seen the pencil and paper that drew it. ( or computer who cares )
there is a reason why ferrari never made a 4 door car ; and it would have also applied to this marketing stupidity. and a few others…

That’s probably what it would cost if it were made by a Chinese car company.
I don’t understand why performance car brands insist on slapping their badges on silly EV cars. And this car does look silly.
Ferrari saying they consider the EV side of the brand to be a separate entity, but they’re putting the Ferrari badge on it and they’re devaluing the brand by doing so. I’m not opposed to EVs, but I wouldn’t want one. It is nice to have the choice, but the thing that moves me about a car I’m driving is the way it shouts at me. EVs don’t shout, they whisper.
When I drove a Tesla Plaid, I noticed I was often going over the speed limit without realising. I personally believe that not being able to hear an engine sound was the main reason for that. 30 odd years of driving has conditioned me to rely on multiple sensory inputs and EVs don’t offer that.

This. The first round of tongue bathing the Luce got by ‘influencers and journalists’ was cringe… then the stock price plummeted by billions as the day passed and they now look like a bunch of clowns who behaved like tarts taken to Rome for a jaunt. The exterior is mediocre beyond belief (the rear laughable) and whilst the interior has some nice touches, the US starting price of over $600,000 is genuinely shocking. Most of us are well aware of what is now available in the Chinese market and this would not even register as a contender in terms of a design package let alone the price, which is beyond comical.
