Lamborghini Huracan Performante
National pride is at stake as British engineering takes on the might of the Italians and Germans in today's drag race.
The latest vehicle from Woking, the McLaren Artura, is making its drag race launching here. Powered by a brand new 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 linked to an electric motor, the Artura produces 680hp and 800Nm. That makes it the most effective here, though its oppositions are no complete strangers to a competitive carwow drag race.
Right beside the Arutra is the Lamborghini Huracan Performante. Now a stalwart of the supercar world, its 5.2-litre naturally-aspirated V10 kicks out 640hp and 600Nm. Though down on the McLaren for power, it makes use of an all-wheel-drive system – unlike the rear-wheel-drive Brit – so grip could be in its favour.
Including more fuel to the very first is the king of introducing, the Porsche 911 Turbo S. Its 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six produces 650hp and 800Nm and, if you're familiar with these parts, you know it's going to have no problem putting it down.
Rather the line-up, then. Which of these supercars will fly its country's flag highest?
