As a BMW owner who sadly has power seats, I laughed way too hard at this.

Not a problem, set them once & all OK, then they won’t cost mega bucks to fix when the electronics play up. It’s hardly a day’s labour at the coal face to set them properly first – maybe 15 seconds of your’ life & if you need to adjust them later it’s 2 or 3 seconds instead of waiting ages whilst the electronic one creep forwards or backwards. They are just another unnecessary way to inflate the price & extract more money from buyers.

But when it comes to adjusting the steering wheel and seats, Manual is Better and Quicker

Electric is easier. You don’t have to contort your body to move the seat which forces you to guess exactly where to stop.

This reminds me of the time I had just purchased my 3 series and driving home from the dealership I thought I was sitting a bit low. I had just got on to the highway as I tried adjusting at just fell to the bottom exactly as in this clip and I just panicked and didn’t know what had happened 😂

Manual seats are less likely to fail and cheaper to replace. A win is a win
