BMW have really upped their 3 series range the past year with this and the M3 Touring. I just hope that the so-called replacement coming in a few years will not be like that I Vision D.E.E. 🤞

I don’t know who does the claiming at BMW HQ because they seem to be quite pessimistic to what it truly does in reality. Like 3.81 secs in those conditions and they claimed it to be 4.4 secs. I assume it would be a marketing strategy maybe. At least they are lying in a good way if that’s the case.

These days, the differentiation in performance models, comes from handling characteristics.
BMW still won’t give you that sweet LSD unless you buy an M… Or pay a fortune as an option-
yes ofc LSD is nice and all, but the m performance diff is not that great

Seriously, no need to spend extra money for an M3 because this M340i is brilliant. Just like with Mercedes, I don’t need to buy a GLE AMG63s because the AMG53 4Matic+ is enough.

Do you wanna try on a golf mk4 v5? It would be interesting to make a video of all the awesome “underrated” golfs and there are quite a few versions such as v5 2.3, v5 2.8 4 motion and last but not least the R32. I’d love watch a video of these old beasts. They’re not the fastest but they’ve got legacy.

I miss my M340i so much for the performance at least, but the 540i I replaced it with is so much more comfortable. Wish the 540i had the same engine tuning as the M340 lmao

So how much more torque does it build in Launch Control vs regular rated power? That’s gotta be what’s happening, right? Rated for continuous 380lb-ft or whatever it is, but in launch control mode, makes 20% more for 10 seconds?
