I’m a BMW fan, but the Audi Quattros are BEASTS!
-
Actually, Audi has lately adapted the BMW AWD system, with a rear biased system to reduce the understeer and make their cars more fun to drive.

Nah it’s the snowdome in Tamworth I’ve been a couple of times. That’s the main ramp

Deffo Tamworth mate. I used to have a beer in the bar overlooking the slope most days lol

@@MiKA3LMM 👌 nice really good place I used to go when I was younger

@TomlikesCars They both look the same, could be either.

In this the 4wd had summer tyres and the rwd had winter tyres for balancing
-
Now I get it

@jarlbalgruufthegreater1758 😉
-
No, they were both on winter tires. Earlier they tried on summer tires and both cars were unable to drive up even few metres.

*I thought Quattro was just Italian for “more wheels.” Turns out it’s the secret sauce for not getting stuck in snow*
-
So QUATTRO makes absolutely no difference. Wow, just putting it out there without context?
-
R8 quattro is heavier plus in R8 it’s only 20% of torque going to front axle
-
Personally, when I drive my Quattro, I never get wheel spin in the winter, but with front-wheel-drive cars, I always do.
-
It did make a difference– in the video, the RWD car has winter tires, while the AWD car has summer tires.
-
@BingusRingusMcDingus that was the whole point of my comment. They give absolutely no context and let people draw the wrong conclusion.

-
I like AWD cars a lot! I want an AWD Audi R8 someday!

Silly test.

Is that the chill factor/Beyond?

-
Lol it’s not a bmw awd system just because it has more rear wheel bias
-
Quatro first Comercial awd, bmw dsc grow into xdrive = Quatro they are 99% same thing

Oh yes, it is. Before BMW all AWD system had a 50/50 ration. BMW wanting to keep their cars playful, created that rear biased, which Audi and others copied.Actually, Audi should pay BMW for helping them reduce their understeer. I will contact BMW about that 🙂
-
@@AArata63 Dear lord, your name should be Dr. Misinformation. No, Porsche was doing it long before BMW… and Quattro hasn’t been 50/50 for 2 decades… 🙄
-
@@AArata63 yes but the point is they’ve not taken some “BMW system” they’ve just tweaked the balance of their own Quattro system.

one is soft top as well big weight difference

personally i think flooring it is THE dumbest thing you can do if you want to go up hill when its slippery.. ….
-
Don’t show that to the urban owners of SUVs, they’ll think they don’t need winter tires because of the AWD and then they get stuck on our mountain roads!!
-
You need both

idk much about cars but I know thats fake snow and fake snow is more like sand then anything lol

How about leaving traction control on and let the computer do the work.
