We know you have actually been waiting for this one!
We have actually got 2 extraordinary Ferrari hybrid supercars going head-to-head over the quarter-mile! The question is, can the more recent 296 GTB beat the almighty tri-motor SF90? Well, let's take a closer look.
Starting with the 296 GTB, it's powered by a 3-litre twin-turbo V6 paired with an electrical motor. These drive the rear wheels and integrate to produce 830hp and 740Nm of torque. It still remains beautiful light, tipping the scales at 1,470 kg.
Then we have the SF90. It comes geared up with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with 3 electrical motors – 2 at the front and one at the back. Combined, they produce an eye-watering 1,000 hp and 800Nm, pressing this power through all four wheels. It's a bit much heavier than the 296 GTB, however, at 1,570 kg.
So how will this play out? The SF90 may have more power, however the 296 is lighter! Will the weight difference prove to be definitive? There's just one method to learn … LET'S RACE!
