BMW M240i v AMG A45 v RS3 v Golf R: TUNED DRAG RACE

It's time for an extraordinary tuned hot hatch drag race!!

We've got our hands on the , VW R, Audi RS3 and A45 S. They're everything about to go head-to-head over the quarter-mile, and they've all been tuned! This one's going to be epic …

So let's check out the statistics. The BMW is powered by a 3-litre straight-six turbo, which typically puts out 374hp and 500Nm of torque. Nevertheless, the one we've got our hands on now puts out 460hp and 650Nm! Next up it's the R, which is the most effective cars and truck here! Its 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo engine usually produces 374hp and 420Nm of torque, but it's ₤ 7,000 worth of work done to it, and as a result, it now puts down 530hp and 630Nm!!

Along with the Golf, we have the RS3, with the power output from its 2.5-litre 5-cylinder turbo increased from 400hp and 500Nm to 503hp and 630Nm respectively. Then lastly we have the A45. It's had the least work done on it here (just ₤ 1,000 worth), but it's still received a quite yummy output boost, with the 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo now putting down 503hp and 610Nm!

The concern is, can you select a winner?! There's just one method to learn for sure … LET'S RACE!

      @Nathan Laurence Main reason is the M2 hasn’t been fully released as yet so they’re using the M240i you know the true car for this class is the M2

      @Ralph K. Bauer Ferrari was part of Fiat. If you compare Volkswagen to Lambo or Bugatti,just cause they are under VAG group,then you are lost. I drive E46 M3. I go workshop only for basic maintenance. Three years of hard driving and the only fault is folding mirror switch.

      @davo the great No, stock the new RS6 gets beaten by an BMW M2 CS in the top end on the Autobahn. It’s slower than the competition from BMW and Mercedes. But with a tune it could be different, I don’t know.

    It’s nuts that this tuned golf r has same P/W ratio as an M5 (341/ton vs 340/ton)

    I would love to see a drag race between this tuned cars to those high performance cars in the previous dyno run video

    Before anyone tried to claim that you can also tune M5. I know that but my main point is even after those upgrades it was ~50k compared to stock m5

      It would be interesting for sure. The benefit of the M5 is that it’s a factory car that’s had far more R&D and testing with hundreds of cars. The Golf isn’t a one off or anything, but it’s still an unfinished product and can have mishaps and whatnot because of it.
      That’s the downside you *can* have from tuning. Sometimes you’ll never have an issue

      I’m surprised at how bad he is in these drag races though! Same for the BMW one last week, fluffed gear changes (now for both manual and auto) and delayed launches. Wasn’t expecting it.
