Matrix LED lights are great.

-
Imagine the price when it comes time to replace one 🥴
-
You mean in 10-15 years when it’s on its 3rd owner?
-
@@epicswirlJudging by how Audi owners drive, I doubt it
-
@@necrochasm5020 I drive pretty responsibly in my S5. LEDs are supposed to last a long time. They don’t really die out.
-
Had an accident, for 2019 A4 was $3400 from Audi or OEM for $1700.
-
@@lm1314 I mean try not to wreck your car. Kind of your fault. Of course the parts are going to be expensive on an expensive car. Had my old 2013 A4 headlight replaced too (hit in an accident). Everyone who owns Audis know that parts are expensive.

Are people really going to spend £70k on a car because it has fancy brake lights ? 🧐
-
As opposed to GM, Dodge and Ford, whose headlights either blind their users with their own reflection, never seem to have both working simultaneously, or resemble a christmas tree with sporadically dead bulbs
-
So another useless feature that the cars owner won’t even see?
Great how much did it cost, 5.000€?-
You’re definitely going to notice the matrix LEDs functioning. The different visuals they can display is easily programmed and just a sideshow. Won’t add much to the cost.

If I recall correctly, Audi was the first manufacturer to use lights as part of their design elements instead of just lights. They’ve always been leaders in this space.
-
also the first to use the bi-xenon technology in the a8 d2 i believe
-
the R8 was the first car with led daytime running lights iirc
-
Yup! Audi invented the game of DRLs.
-
Absolutely, the first and the best❤

I think that piano sound would upset my neighbours.
-
Utter silliness. It doesn’t even warrant more criticism.
-
Look at their “swarm” headlights. It’s insane
-
Pity they didn’t put as much thought into the reliability of their cars.
-
LEDs are very reliable
-
-
It’s not chef’s kiss. It’s an over engineered mess of unnecessarily complicated programming, and if anything breaks or shorts out, you’re gonna get a gazillion errors popping up on the dash and advised that you have to replace the whole headlight unit to fix, probably for over £1000 each.
-
Ahh yes I’ve got a brake light out on my Q6,
No problem sir we will get a look at that now,
That’s you all ready Sir, unfortunately we had to replace the cluster as it’s a sealed unit.
That’s great how much do I owe you?Emmm let me just check . . . . .
The total today will be £6,427.52 +Vat please. Oh and we topped up the screen wash for you Sir 🥴😂🤣 -
These high tech lights are utter nonsense. As soon as one of the gazillion LEDs fails, you’ll be wishing your cheap, easy to replace light bulb back.
-
Yeah I prefer these though.
-
Yeah I think that’s called being broke. Something people that spend over $70,000 on their car don’t have
-
I can’t with these people…😔
-
@@Naucturnal lol. That’s not how wealth works mate. People who are not “broke” have money because they know how to look after it. Don’t be fooled by what the celebs feed you.
-
@@ShoxTheRebel not fooled by anything champ. Just tired of this same old recycled opinion I was hearing when tailgates started getting complex and full of electricals. If the headlight fails on this brand new car then your dealership warranty should cover it. Once that warranty is over I’m sure a $1000 repair shouldn’t be breaking the bank of someone who can fit a 70k car in their budget.
-
-
Now, if they could only figure out how to get 300+ miles out of a single charge.
-
Classic German engineering. How much should it cost to replace headlights? Audi…. Yes.
-
I wish they put as much effort in to making their cars handle better as they do the fairy lights.
-
Since the RSQ they never looked back.
-
Finally, an agreeable carwow short

“sorry sir your car is a write off, you broke a headlamp”
