Ha. Even that isn’t until 2025+. And it makes sense for non-plug-in hybrids for sure. Doubt it makes it to plug-in hybrids until 2030 if at all. They are too expensive for the amount of energy needing to be stored.
Toyota finally coming around. I’ve been saying watch out for Toyota. They are laying the groundwork to excel in the EV transition: they will offer gas, hybrids and EVs in the next 5-10 years. TM and Lexus will have a few EV models in 2-3 years. The world can’t go 100% EV for a while and there’s money to be made as we transition over the next 10-15 years. The people calling the death of TM are premature.
Tesla has priced itslef out of the masses. The Model Y is now a 60k car while the bz is supposedly 35k. I believe TM will be a top 3 auto marker in 2030 as they are now.
