The interior felt so cheap. The seats are recycled but they are nowhere near the vegan leather quality from Tesla, Kia, or Volvo. I’m not sure who designed the dashboard but it looks old. Pretty spacious in the back though.
It seems like a nice enough car and people will probably go bonkers for it, just i have yet to see a Subaru with an impressive interior. They always feel a little dated on the inside, same with Hyundai.
Well, considering it was developed with Toyota it’s not surprising that it’s a disappointment. Toyota has no interest in EV technology and is only trying to stay relevant in the current market. They go out of their way to lobby against climate change policy and are very attached to ICE. I always liked Subaru but their partnership and attachment to Toyota will keep me away from their vehicles. The interiors on Toyotas have always felt cheap and uncomfortable to me, I’ll never understand the appeal.
Important to note that Subaru has a **”PROTOTYPE VEHICLE”** placard on the dash, so this is still in progress. Maybe they can be convinced to remove the piano-black plastic, along with other noted criticisms here

That piano black center console will be a real bitch to keep clean.
Also known as the Subaru Aztek, lol.

I love how they rope off the most basic vehicles these days as if it were an original Shelby or something. Lol
If it’s cheap – sure. But as it stands, it’s just disappointing.
The amount of plastic trim on the front end is ridiculous.
Also, I know people have a hard time parking/charging or whatever, but I hate the look of those giant charge port doors on the front fenders.
I’m glad more brands are trying though. Competition is good.
Saw it last night at the auto show and I totally agree. Interior and range are disappointing.

If this and the Toyota EV are not too expensive, I think they’ll do well anyways.
Somehow they outdid the EQS in ugliness.
The fact that it’s basically just a rebadged BZ4x or whatever is disappointing. Imo it doesn’t even look much like a Subaru
Front seats look pretty cramped and boxed in with that tall center stack. Seats look super budget.
