    That’s definitely a range extender fire. If it were a battery fire, the front would be equally crisped as the rear.

    The fact that the vehicle is still *ON* is astounding. The main battery and the 12V battery must still be intact.

    I hope you are okay and I’m sorry about your car. Any word on what caused it? It looks like the back lit up but isn’t the battery pack more mid-car? Either way, hope you are safe.

    Fuuuuck. They should definitely have built a more robust REx. You don’t hear about this with the Chevy Volt.

    Also, people say that forums bring out the problems, well this was a flaired member of the EV subreddit.. :/
