I don’t get the dislike being directed towards the EV4, looks are subjective, but I think both bodystyles look good. They cut a smaller shape than the EV5 will, so should have better efficiency.

60 instead of 70mph gives me an extra 30 miles of range… E-208 here.

24:16 In some cases you can buy the car off the back of your lease. I bought my current car, Seat Mii Electric at the end of the lease through BCA from VWFS.

EV4 saloon with a big bottom. Perhaps they should make the most of it like Renault did with the Mégane twenty years ago, I see you baby, shaking that….

Insurance quotes for EVs are all over the place. I’ve just bought a Rolestar 2, my existing insurer quoted £3900, I eventually paid £455 for a declared 10k miles. Some insurers are still not keen to cover them it seems.

OK just under 3 weeks of EV ownership (and still loving it) and I am getting 3.8 Mi/kWh out of my ID7 Tourer working out at around 1/5 the cost for ‘fuel’ as my eco diesel (now sold) which got 56 mpg

I’ve taken your advice (actually saw such a good deal before this edition came out that I went for it) and am picking up a standard range RWD facelift Polestar on Tuesday

Great to have an electrifying fix on Saturday again 🎉 Surprisingly decent audio considering the location of Ginny and cant wait to see what it’s all about but agree, Batch should be on more often with Nicola.

Saw my first inster on the roads today and was really surprised at how small it was (same as how surprised I was how small the new panda is ) the online videos and press photos really make these cars look massive lol wondering if the smaller Kia’s are also smaller than they look too
My dad just got rid of his Kia Ceed he had it nearly 14-15 years and it was a great car only just started needing work to it wish he swapped it for the Ev version though
Running costs for me with my 600e I can only use public chargers and I still save money because I choose the cheaper chargers … I honestly think I’ve got the magic unicorn of 600e I sometimes think I’ve been given the car they did the range tests on lol as I have been getting higher than the manufacturers averages all winter (apart from a few trips to ikea carrying heavy loads lol) average range on 600e is 250 other places suggest real world is 230 but all winter I’ve been getting 260 as my average… even managed 270 a couple of times in the summer and I’m heavy footed at the lights so not a sensible driver maybe I have a faulty gauge lol

For an “off-roady” AWD EV, will the Ioniq 5 XRT be available in the UK? Even without XRT trim, an Ioniq 5 could be a good AWD alternative and better than the bZ4x, unless you need the extra ground clearance

Sorry in advance for the long message i am guilty of using way too many words haha. So today I made the jump and ordered my New EV I have went with my heart and chose the Renault 5, in Iconic 5 and comfort range spec. I have drove an Ioniq5 Hyundai in Ultimate spec for nearly 4yrs now and this has allowed me to realise the things I need and the things I don’t need from an car/EV, one being i don’t need nearly 300miles of range never driven more than 200 in a day and can charge at home. I allowed myself to fall for the range scare mongering that goes on in main stream press. I don’t need all the bells and whistles like loads of cameras, self-drive (autopilot auto park, etc) used them if lucky probably 5 times and self-drive stuff only on the motorway. A good lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control is close enough to it. I like to drive and park etc I enjoy cars for more than just A-B, I think it’s important to not rely on the car too much and always be alert anyway, so I like doing these bits myself. The Hyundai has been a great car and never had any issues at all for the time I have owned it and I would highly recomend it! But it’s time for a change and I can now buy a car that meets my actual needs and not my perceived needs. Can’t wait till pick up my R5 in June.

Any news about the KIA EV5? It is even shown on the KIA official site but no real details.
