Gridserve will open more than 20 ‘electric hubs’, each featuring 6-12 x 350kW ultra high-power EV charge points with contactless payment, at motorway service stations across the UK by Q2 2022, with 50 more to follow. Also 2 ‘forecourts’ with 36 chargers each in 2022, with 30 sites under development. →

While the tire market has been pretty boring for a while, this should start a fascinating competition between big players now. Tesla v GM v Ford is fine too but Bridgestone v Pirelli v Michelin is the real show!

The nice thing (for now at least) is manufacturers don’t reduce their warranty for EVs. So while I’ll end up using them up quicker that’s just fine by me.

It was only a problem on my i3 where I only got 20k out of a set of rears and there was no mileage warranty
