I have a 5 year old Ryobi electric riding motor (Lead-Acid batteries) and have been very happy with it. I mow 3.5 acres in the US eastern midwest with it.
For those of us on the hunt for an electric riding mower, this seems to be the year that everyone is coming out with lithium battery powered mowers. Ryobi has a new one coming this summer, greenworks just announced their 60V lineup, and for those of us that already have tools from their 80V lineup, it looks like they will have an 80V rider and zero turn out this year.
Pro-tip, don’t buy Greenworks directly from the manufacturer; buy it from a place with a good return policy. I bought a mower from them during a Black Friday sale that I needed to return, and they don’t pay for return shipping. As you can imagine, shipping an electric mower back to their factory wasn’t cheap.
Ended up with an EGO self-propelled model that I’m happy with.
