Phantom Braking while using AP on surface streets == Do Not Buy
Uh. Okay.
They literally say “On the highway it’s nigh-perfect”… You know, the only place where you can even use cruise control on a standard car.
>I wish Tesla would take a cue from Cadillac and simply disable this function on roads where it doesn’t work well.
Or… and I know this is some sort of feat of super-human ability here… But maybe the owner can decide for themselves where they’d like to use the system.
My wife doesn’t like being jostled around from AP and FSD. So when she’s in the car, I don’t use it in situations where I’m fairly sure it may get confused and jostle her. It’s almost like I, the owner of the car, get to decide how I want to use my car. Imagine that.

He keeps repeating “70k car” over and over and lamenting the cost of the 10k FSD. But FSD is by far what he complains most about. So save your 10k, don’t get FSD, now you aren’t paying 70k for minor issues, you’re only paying 60k… and now you can recommend the bloody car. What is up with these reviewers?
Oh boy, you posted something negative about Tesla. They are going to send their army of fanboys/stock holders over and down vote and scream at you. My ID4 pro that is 25k less expensive hasn’t had a single error with it’s travel assist with over 6k miles driven. Also, I can gently place my hand on the wheel without having to worry about applying pressure like is required with the Tesla.
I feel a “don’t buy” is excessive. I do agree that having garbage cruise control is a big downside – I don’t use it at all cause I don’t feel it’s safe. I still like the car though. (model 3 not y but meh, same points apply)

They’re getting desperate. Must be hoping to encourage some big holiday campaign cheques from legacy auto.
