Porsche 911 Turbo S v SLEEPER Skoda Superb: DRAG RACE

Change your automobile with :

We've got our hands on a and it's taking on … A Superb ?!

Believe it sounds like an unjust match-up? Well, let's take a more detailed look at the statistics.

Starting with the , it's powered by a 3.6-litre twin-turbo flat-six that produces 450hp and 620Nm of torque. Power is sent out to all four wheels through a 5-speed automated transmission, and the automobile weighs 1,630 kg. When brand-new, the 911 Turbo expense around ₤ 101,000.

Then we concern the . Normally, its 2-litre 4-cylinder turbo produces 280hp and 350Nm of torque. Nevertheless, this Superb has actually been tuned! As a result, it now puts down 477hp and 661Nm! Power is sent out to all 4 wheels by means of a 7-speed dual-clutch, and it weighs somewhat more than the Porsche, tipping the scales at 1,670 kg.

So the Skoda has more power than the Porsche, however it's somewhat heavier! So can an all-new family-friendly Skoda really remove a Porsche? There's only one way to find out for sure … LET'S RACE!

      No more yellow and the egg shape gets cut off by the hood…honestly in those models I don’t see the egg shape at all anymore and I find it just looks slick.
      I would honestly pick a 996 Carrera 4 or Turbo over a 997 (same variant) because I think the adjusted 996 headlights fit better with this model (they’re mostly the same except from the front)

      I mean the 996 and even the 992 Turbo have heavier engines, transmissions and AWD systems than this 4 cylinder FWD haldex based estate car;
      Those components alone account for 60%+ of a car’s mass, not to mention that we now have vastly more advanced computers and alloys that allow weight to be shed without negatively impacting Chassis rigidity!

      Agreed 100%. The C4S was the first Porsche that really caught my eye back in 2002. The red beam of rear taillights (tho the mid section is merely a long reflector) made it stood out even more than the Turbo. 6 speed of course and 320 horses if I remember correctly without googling.

    The manual 996 turbo’s don’t have a soft limiter and are a damn sight quicker off the line. The tiptronic will also try to set off in 2nd as default, clicking the button down to first after pulling up or putting it in drive will have it ready in first and help off the line, they have to realise you’re going for it and quickly drop to first otherwise. Wonderful things.
